Lassa Rally Team was founded in 2007, in order to accelerate the developement of Lassa Racing Tyres.

Until this year the team participated only in the races of the Turkish Rally Championship which included races of IRC, ERC and WRC.

An experienced driver Volkan Isik, who is one of the most important icons of the Turkish rally history.

Born in 1967 in Istanbul, Işık had a lifetime inside the racing cars. With an extensive experience on racing worldwide, he had been sympathesized by a large crowd of people who interests of his remarkable projects on training bases for new generations to come.

With the Lassa engineers, Isik has been managing the Lassa Racing Tyres Project as the team director since 2002;

and a had big success as it took the “Team’s Cup Winner” title in 2007; “Team’s Cup Winner”, “Drivers’ Cup Winner”, “Co-drivers’ Cup Winner”,  “Group N Cup Winner” titles in 2008 season of Turkish Rally Championship with Lassa Rally Team.

This season Lassa Rally Team is racing with a champion driver of Turkey, Serkan Yazici, who has been on the racecourses since 1991 and his co-driver Unal Tezel. They will be driving Fiat Grande Punto Super 2000. The team is very ambitious and determined about challenging the competition in Italy, as well.
